As Twilight Ebbs
The City Turns White

As twilight ebbs
the city turn white
In the subway I know not
the moment has come

As the season falls
from the sky’s frozen wings
something halts the birds in icy grass
from toying with time

We stand speechless
against the blue wall
assessing uncertainty and bliss
pervading a lifetime
